The UK used a wide variety of military aircraft during the Cold War…
In the earlier Cold War years many were designed and manufactured by British companies.
Later on, as the cost and sophistication of modern jets increased, most were purchased from foreign manufacturers or international consortiums.
But all have left their mark on the national Cold War memory
